A youth trainer schools young players, which will join up your team from time to time. The point of time, when a new player will be available for your squad depends on the skill of your youth trainer.

A youth trainer with a 100% skill will educate a new player within 18 days, meanwhile a 50% trainer needs 36 days. It is possible to hire different kind of youth trainers whilst schooling new players. If you do not want to renew a contract with a 100% trainer, for example after 10 days of schooling, and then hiring a new coach with 50% skill, you do not have to wait 36 days to get a new youthplayer. It will take only about 16 days, because the schooling work that was already done by the predecessor of your new youth trainer.

The age of your youth players depends on the skill of the trainer. The age of new players is in general 16 or 17. Nonetheless it is possible, that a weak youth trainer will school 16 year old players, but it is less likely than you have had contracted a good youth trainer.

The playing ability of the youth players differ from 4,1 to 6,1. The quality also depends on the skill of the trainer. If you change your youth trainer during the schooling process, the average skill of the different trainers will have a bearing on the playing ability and the point of time when a new player will be available for your team.

A youth trainer is a bad choice for managers who want to make a fast buck, therefore you should only hire one, if you need one.
